Physics-based sensor simulation is only as good as the 3D environment behind it, and building those environments has always been slow and costly. We tested how far frontier AI models can take us, from OpenStreetMap data to detailed 3D worlds in Blender and Unreal Engine, comparing ChatGPT 6 Astra and Claude Opus 5.5.
